Phuket: Day 4 & 5

Just a quick blog, because we have had a very lazy day on Thursday and on Friday we checkout at midday to begin the final leg of our travels.

Thursday was to be a lazy day sitting by the pool and relaxing, after a little morning shopping, while having a couple quiet drinks and ordering lunch to eat on our balcony poolside. This was going to plan beautifully until about 2:30 pm when it started getting clouded over and began raining. It really only stopped the swimming and sunbaking!

In the evening, Kristin did some last minute shopping (well managed to do more on Friday morning too!) and then we had a massage at the Blue moon massage joint. Kristin went for the coconut oil massage and Andy the aromatherapy massage. We both thought it was the best massage by far.

We ate dinner at one of the "elephant" restaurants. There are about 5 with elephant in the name all relatively close to each other. We had satay skewers for entrée and for mains Crispy Duck with garlic and peppers (delicious) and chicken and cashew and pineapple (but this was mucked up and came out like a special fried rice of chicken, rice and pineapple and a few cashews in a pineapple!

Friday morning was a last chance for a swim and relax before leaving around midday.

Cheers,

A & K.

  1. What a lovely day you had! While the afternoon rain cut your lazy day by the poolside, you were still able to enjoy the rest of the day, and was able to take a last dip before you had to go home. Anyway, here’s to more vacations in the near future! Cheers!
