A lazy hazy day of summer. By our standards, a quiet day.
We hired a pair of sun-lounges and an umbrella of the private beach section of the Amalfi beach. This cost €30 for the day, this section we were in had about 80 pairs of sun-lounges and many were used more than once and there were 4 more private sections of a similar size. There was also a bar and dining area with service to your sun-lounge.
We were on the beach from about 10am to 7 pm ( the temperature was in the low to mid 30s from 10 onwards) and at the end we were looking a bit over cooked.
After the beach, we freshened up and ate at a local restaurant in one of the smaller squares. A very nice meal. After dinner we walked along the waterfront to the same outdoor bar/cafe we ate at the previous two nights for a final drink. But there were the Aussie couple Sharon & Peter (from Cronulla, Sydney) who we met the night before. After a few drinks and a lot of talking, before we knew it was 12:30! We said our goodbyes and wished each other good luck for the rest of our travels.
A quick blog today!
Cheers,
A & K

It is great to make friends on the road. I remember keeping in touch for years with some of mine even though they were overseas and I never saw them again
