Hvar: Day 1

Croatia seems to be getting  better everyday.

We left Split on a morning (10:30) ferry to Hvar and arrived about Midday.

After finding our apartment  (which was really easy because they posted actual photos, step by  step. How simple and affective!

Our room is okay, nothing special but only about a 3 minute walk to the port. Hvar is a very pretty harbour town with old city walls and an old castle high above the port.

For the afternoon we caught a water taxi over to a small island, Jerolim(maybe just the name of the beach).  Here we spent the afternoon in the water and sunbathing with a lot of nudists. The ratio was about 1:1 , clothed: unclothed. One of men was very well hung, which made the decision for Andy to keep his boardshorts on very easy.

In the evening we walked around the promenade of the harbour (whihich is U-shaped) and sat at the water's edge and had a few drinks and later some dinner. A lovely setting. By now it was close to midnight and the place was revving up, but for us "oldies"!

Cheers,

A & K.
