Next stop was a place called Stiniva on island Vis. This is a little cove and a popular swimming spot for the tourist boats. The cove was once a cave but had collapsed a long time ago.
The stop was the Green Cave, also on the island if Vis, I didn't think it was possible an hour earlier but I think this was better than the Blue Cave. This cave was much larger and our boat could drive in but even better you could swim inside the cave as well. The cave was a bit like the Pantheon in Rome, where the roof was like a dome and had a small opening at the top that let in a ray of sunshine.
The third stop on Vis was for lunch at Stonica. Stonica has a sandy shallow beach with a big outdoor restaurant. The food was cooked a a grill over coals from a outdoor oven/bbq. Kristin had the mackerel and Andy had the lamb washed down with a few drinks.
After lunch we headed back in direction of Hvar, but before returning we stopped at a couple of popular swimming places/bars in the Pakinski Otici group of islands, a couple of kilometres of Hvar.
We returned to Hvar at about 6:30 pm and said goodbye to our new friends from a truly wonderful experience. Would highly recommend the trip to anyone.
Later in the evening we had a few drinks on the promenade of the harbour and chatted to a lovely Irish couple (~30 y.o) from Dublin. Before we realised it was after 11 pm and we still hadn't eaten, so we went to a Thai restaurant called Spice It Up and the food was very nice.
Another great day, we keep pinching ourselves to make sure we aren't dreaming all this up. We have been really blessed I think.
Cheers,
A & K
